Scholarship Summary:
Gordon College is awarding the Clarendon Scholarship to domestic high school seniors from an urban area who demonstrate leadership in their school and church, succeed academically, and have a desire to positively impact urban communities.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for the Clarendon Scholarship, you must
(1) Be a US high school senior
(2) Have Minimum GPA of 3.0
(3) Demonstrate a heart for service through leadership in church, community, and/or school
(4) Demonstrate a desire to serve cities and urban environments through a future career
Value of Scholarship:
The Clarendon Scholarship is valued as $18,000 per year ($72,000 over four years)
Program Highlights:
• This four-year program includes an annual Clarendon retreat, paid summer internship and culminates with a capstone senior thesis project.
• Scholars will explore the five pillars of the honors program: personal growth, reconciliation and cultural fluency, community engagement, leadership development and professional and career development.
• This program prepares students to explore their calling and to pursue careers as leaders in cities and urban areas around the globe.

i. First-year applicants must complete the Gordon College application and the Honors Program Application by December 1.
- Demonstration of a heart for service through leadership in church, community, and school in urban environments is desired.
This application process includes:
• Visit: Attend Clarendon Day. During the day, you will;
- Complete two in-person group interviews
- Learn more about the program and its impact on campus and beyond
- Meet current scholars and hear their stories
• Interview: Interview, through admissions, with an alumnus of the program via Zoom.
Attendance at Clarendon Day is required to be considered for the scholarship.
