Scholarship Summary: 
Gordon’s flagship four-year scholarship program seeks to enrich students’ faith (domestic and international students), promote intellectual maturity and strengthen leadership capabilities. The Global Honors Scholarship is awarded to 12 first-year applicants each year.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible for the Global Honors Scholarship, you must 
i. Be a high school senior
ii. Minimum GPA of 3.9
iii. Demonstrate a desire to faithfully, creatively, and thoughtfully address significant global issues
iv. Demonstrate an attitude of reciprocity (listening and learning to global voices and communities) and action Minimum GPA of 3.9

Value of Scholarship: 
The Global Honors Scholarship is valued as $19,000 per year ($76,000 over four years)

Program Highlights:
•  A four-year experience preparing students to provide Christ-honoring leadership in a multicultural world.
•  Tightly knit cohort that will learn and travel through honors seminars, retreats, international travel, cultural and multicultural experiences and faculty mentoring.
•  International experience including an international trip following freshman year.
•  Summer internship overseas for four to six weeks between sophomore and junior year.
•  Unique opportunities to explore the best fine arts that Boston has to offer like the Boston Ballet's The Nutcracker.
•  Participation in honors seminars during freshman and sophomore year, honors discussion groups led by the professor for both Old Testament and New Testament, opportunity to study abroad and senior thesis or project.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply, 
i. First-year applicants must complete the Gordon College application by the deadlines. Once admitted, eligible students will receive a personal invitation to apply to the Scholars programs. 
  • Evidence of academic strength, and a desire to creatively and thoughtfully address significant global issues and a willingness to listen and learn from global voices is desired.
ii. The Honors application process includes:
  • Apply: Complete the Honors application (This will be sent with your personal email invitation)
  • Visit: Attend an Honors Day on Friday, December 6, or Friday, January 24
  • Contact the College if travel is not possible
iii. Interview: Complete a virtual interview before Honors Day with program directors and staff.
