Scholarship Summary: 
Alvernia University offers scholarships to each admitted international freshman wishing to earn an undergraduate degree as a traditional day student at the main Reading campus.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for an international student scholarship, an applicant must;
Be a full-time, degree-seeking international undergraduate student attending mostly daytime classes.
Have earned a minimum 3.0 overall cumulative GPA by the May 1 scholarship application deadline.
Meet English proficiency and financial specifications.

Value of Scholarship: 
The Alvernia International First-Year Scholarships are namely as follows;
i. Presidential Scholarship: $24,000/year
ii. Trustees' Scholarship: $23,000/year
iii. Veronica Founder's Scholarship: $22,000/year 
iv. Achievement Scholarship: $20,000/year
v. Heritage Scholarship: $18,000/year
vi. Catholic School Scholarship awards $1,000 to first-time, full-time freshmen graduating from a Catholic high school. It can be combined with other awards as well as incorporated into financial aid packages.

The above scholarships are renewable as long as recipients maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, continue be a full time student and engage in service to the University and the community.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
i. Complete an admissions application into Alvernia.
ii. Every international undergraduate student must submit all grades from all previous schools attended. The applicant must submit all their grades to be evaluated; for international transcripts must be evaluated in USA system evaluation via NACES member institutions.
