Scholarship Summary:
Carlow Merit Scholarships are awarded to traditional first-year, fulltime undergraduate students (domestic and international) based on high school academic performance. This scholarship is presented at the time of admission and is generally renewable for four years or eight semesters.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be considered for a Carlow Merit Scholarship, applicants must;
i. Be applying for a full-time undergraduate degree at Carlow
Value of Scholarship:
The Carlow Merit scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Trustee Scholarship: $22,000/year (GPA: 3.85+)
ii. Presidential Scholarship: $19,000/year (GPA: 3.60 – 3.849)
iii. Provost Scholarship: $16,000/year (GPA: 3.30 – 3.599)
iv. Dean Scholarship: $13,000/year (GPA: 3.00 – 3.299)
v. University Scholarship: $10,000/year (GPA: Below 3.00)
GPAs represent the weighted, cumulative high school GPA at the end of junior year, on a traditional 4.0 scale. Carlow will recalculate GPA for those on a 100-point or other non-traditional GPA scale.

There is no separate scholarship application; students who apply for admission as first-year applicants will be considered for these awards.
