Scholarship Summary:
In order to recognize the outstanding academic achievements of incoming freshmen students (domestic and international), while simultaneously providing an affordable and accessible education, Gettysburg College proudly offers merit scholarships and recipients represent the top-ranking applicants based on scholarly achievement and grade point average. No additional application is needed for these scholarships.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set scholarship criteria but past recipients were in the top 25% of the applicant pool.
Value of Scholarship:
The Gettysburg Merit scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Abraham Lincoln Scholarships — $41,000 annually
ii. Presidential Scholarships — $39,000 annually
iii. David Wills Scholarships — $37,000 annually
iv. 1832 Founders Scholarships — $33,000 annually
Scholarship Application Guide:
Scholarship recipients for the four academic merit scholarships — the Lincoln, Presidential, David Wills, and Founders— are selected during the admissions process. No additional application is needed for these scholarships.
