Scholarship Summary:
The Messiah Multicultural scholarships are open to all domestic freshmen students of color, as well as any student who confirms involvement in the promotion of racial and ethnic diversity and reconciliation as noted on their Messiah University application for admission.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
• Be U.S. citizens and permanent residents only
• Be students of color, or students who show a commitment to promoting racial and ethnic diversity and reconciliation
Value of Scholarship:
The Messiah University Multicultural Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Lloyd and Lois Martin Multicultural Scholarship I: Full Tuition locked at first-year amount for four years (4 awards available, cannot be combined with any other Messiah University merit scholarship)
ii. Lloyd and Lois Martin Multicultural Scholarship II: $5,500 for four years (can be combined with the Provost's Scholarship or the Messiah University Scholarship)
iii. Rachel Helen Flowers Multicultural Scholarship: $3,000 for four years (can be combined with the Provost's Scholarship or the Messiah University Scholarship)
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply,
i. Interested students must complete the Messiah University application process prior to Feb. 1.
ii. Selected students will be invited to attend one of Messiah’s on-campus Multicultural Scholarship Days occurring in January and February.
- Attendance at one of these events is required for inclusion in the evaluations that will ultimately determine scholarship awards.
iii. All recipients of these scholarships will participate in the Martin Scholars Program or the R.H. Flowers Scholars Program
