Scholarship Summary: 
The prestigious Vynka Hohnen Scholarship at Bond University is awarded annually to a Year 12 student enrolled at a Western Australian secondary school. It is designed to acknowledge young achievers who demonstrate leadership and community involvement, a capacity for academic achievement and a generous and outgoing nature. 

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must:
Be a domestic student completing Year 12 at a Western Australian secondary school.
Be predicted to achieve a minimum of ATAR 95.00 or IB Diploma 38.
Hold a demonstrated record of leadership, initiative, and service to your school and/or community.  
Be prepared to maintain the level of academic and personal excellence that distinguished you as an applicant once you have commenced at Bond. 

Value of Scholarship: 
As a Vynka Hohnen Scholar, you will be provided with 100 per cent tuition remission for any single undergraduate degree (excluding the Bond Medical Program), and be expected to start in the January semester of the year following completion of Year 12.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
If you meet the eligibility criteria for this scholarship, you can apply by following the below steps:
1. Complete the Bond University Study Application Form to lodge your application for your chosen program. 
2. Complete the Bond University Scholarship Application Form. Simply use the same log-in details as used for your study application and enter 'scholarship' in the keyword field on the 'Start an Application' tab. 

As a Vynka Hohnen Scholarship applicant, you will be required to submit the following documents as part of your scholarship application:
Evidence of your leadership, initiative, and service to your school and/or community. Please use the Summary of Achievements template to present this evidence and upload as one Word or PDF document.   
Essay responses to the two questions below. Essay responses should be written in a Word document and uploaded as part of the scholarship application. 
   1. How important is it to contribute to the community? Drawing on personal experience, describe how you have contributed to the community in the past and how you envisage contributing to the Bond community in the future. Write a 250 word academic response.
   2. Communication is essential for effective functioning in many areas of life. Describe why you think communication is important and give some examples of where you have communicated effectively and / or experienced the effects of a communication breakdown. Write a 250 word academic response.
A school reference. As part of your application, you will be asked to provide your career advisor's details, so please have these on hand. Bond will follow-up with them directly to request a reference. 

You must complete and submit your scholarship application before the application closing date as no late scholarship applications will be considered!
