Scholarship Summary:
The Vice-Chancellor's Academic Excellence Scholarship at Western Sydney University recognises outstanding academic achievements in international students seeking admission to undergraduate or postgraduate programs. Only a limited number of Scholarships are available for each session, and therefore they are open until they are filled up.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria to be considered for the scholarship:
i. be an international student and not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia. If your visa status changes to one of these during the study period, the scholarship will discontinue
ii. commence a new program of study in 2023,
iii. have received an offer of admission to Western Sydney University
iv. satisfy the academic requirements for the scholarship, i.e., achieved a minimum ATAR of 90 or equivalent in a completed higher secondary study for undergraduate entry or achieved a minimum GPA of 5.95 out of 7.0 or equivalent in a completed higher secondary study for postgraduate entry.
v. satisfy all other admission requirements and accept their admission offer by the acceptance deadline.
Eligible courses include;
i. Undergraduate Study: Any CRICOS registered undergraduate degree.
Note: excluding the Doctor of Medicine, Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
ii. Postgraduate Study: All CRICOS registered postgraduate coursework degrees with a minimum one year and up to a maximum two years duration. Excludes Postgraduate research degrees, Master of Nursing Practice, Master of Clinical Psychology, Master of Research and Higher Degree Research programs.
Value of Scholarship:
The Vice-Chancellor's Academic Excellence Scholarship is valued as fifty percent (50%) of tuition fees per session for full time enrolment for the duration of the degree up to a maximum three years.

i. Separate Scholarships applications are not necessary as eligibility is automatically assessed with your Western applications.
ii. Shortlisted candidates are requested to provide a statement in support of their application indicating how they believe the scholarship will assist them with their studies and in their future career. Applicants will be ranked based on the selection criteria and the panel's review. Successful applicants will be notified via email by the University.
iii. Applicants are advised to accept the scholarship as soon as you receive your Offer of Admission letter to avoid disappointment.
