Scholarship Summary:
Western Sydney University has been named number one in the world for its social, ecological and economic impact in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Ranking, 2022 and is thus awarding the Sustainable Development Goals International Scholarship to support Western Sydney University’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This scholarship is open to only international students (both undergraduate and postgraduate) who will undertaking eligible courses in the University.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
Applicants must:
i. submit a complete application for admission at least two months before the session commencement date
ii. be an international student and not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia. If your visa status changes to one of these during the study period, the scholarship will discontinue
iii. commence a new program of study in 2023 or 2024
iv. have received an offer of admission to Western Sydney University
v. satisfy the academic requirements for the scholarship, i.e., achieved a minimum ATAR of 90 or equivalent in a completed higher secondary study or achieved a minimum GPA of 5.95 out of 7.0 or equivalent in a completed higher secondary study for postgraduate entry
vi. satisfy all other admission requirements and accept their admission offer by the acceptance deadline.
Eligible Undergraduate courses include;
• B Science – (majors in Innovative foods, Human Nutrition, Agrifoods, Sustainable Environmental Futures)

Value of Scholarship:
The Sustainable Development Goals International Scholarship is valued as fifty percent (50%) of tuition fees per session for full time enrolment for the duration of the degree up to a maximum of three years for undergraduate study or two years for postgraduate study.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. Separate Scholarships applications are not necessary as eligibility is automatically assessed with your Western applications.
ii. Applicants are requested to provide a statement in support of their application indicating how they beieve the scholarship will assist them with their studies and in their future career. Applicants will be ranked based on the selection criteria and the panel's review. Successful applicants will be notified via email by the University.
iii. Applicants are advised to accept the scholarship as soon as you receive your Offer of Admission letter to avoid disappointment.
