UTSA offers many general scholarships to incoming freshmen (domestic and international) through the UTSA Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, which vary in eligibility requirements and award amounts. These scholarships are funded by donors and endowments and can vary from year to year.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible for UTSA General Scholarship, applicants must;
i. Be admitted into UTSA for an undergraduate course
ii. Be enrolled for full-time study

The UTSA General Scholarships vary in amount.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
i. Upon admission, you will receive your myUTSA ID and passphrase by which you can log into the UTSA Scholarship HUB and complete the Scholarship Hub’s General Application.  
  • Answer all the questions for the General Scholarship Application.
  • Complete your General Scholarship Application by clicking Finish and Submit. Based on this application, you may be eligible for additional scholarship opportunities.
  • Review every additional scholarship opportunity and its requirements by clicking Apply next to each. If you qualify, answer the accompanying questions and then select Finish and Submit for each.
ii. As long as you submit the application by the scholarship deadline, you can be considered for scholarships managed by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. 
iii. If it’s already past the deadline, you can still complete the Scholarship Hub’s General Application to be considered for other scholarship opportunities that are managed by colleges or departments.
iv. All domestic students are strongly encouraged to complete the FAFSA or TASFA
each year, along with the Scholarship Hub’s General Application
