Scholarship Summary: 

Selected International Undergraduate Scholars will receive awards upon admission into Wofford College for the fall start.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 

To be eligible for international scholarship consideration at Wofford, you must;

• Be non-US citizens

• Be ranked within the top 10% of their high school senior class.

• Have minimum SAT scores of 1250 (not counting the Essay portion), or have an ACT Composite score of 28.

• Have minimum TOEFL iBT score of 90, or IELTS score of Band 7.

• Be active in leadership or service roles in their school/community.

Value of Scholarship: 

The Wofford International Freshman Merit Scholarships are valued from $15,000 to $30,000 per year.

Scholarship Application Guide: 

To apply; 

1. Students must supply the following items:

• The Common Application with Wofford member page.
• The High School Report Form and an official transcript
• Submit your test scores 

1. If the applicant is from an English speaking country, they are required to submit SAT / ACT scores
2. If the applicant is from a Non-English speaking country, they are required to submit:
   • The TOEFL (minimum score 90), IELTS (minimum score 7) or Duolingo English Test (minimum score 115) is required for all applicants whose native language is not English. If a minimum score is not met, a recorded or scored interview may be taken into consideration

• Submit a completed International Financial Certification (IFC).This form is required by the US immigration law and needs to be completed to show an applicant has the funding to attend a given school, if admitted. All applicants must show their ability to attend through completing the form and showing an official signed or stamped bank statement before they are able to receive an F-1 VISA.
