Scholarship Summary:
Domestic freshmen students entering Weber State University after high school graduation are automatically considered for academic scholarships based on their admissions application.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for merit scholarships at WSU, applicants must;
i. For Utah residents, have a minimum *index score of 99
ii. For non-Utah residents, have a minimum index score of 90
*The scholarship index score is a calculation of your high school cumulative GPA and your highest ACT/SAT composite score.
Value of Scholarship:
The WSU New Student Academic Scholarships are valued as follows;
For Utah residents
i. Trustees Scholarship: $3,500 per year ($1,750 per semester) {index score of 122-127 (determined yearly)}
ii. Deans Scholarship: $2,000 per year ($1,000 per semester) {index score of 114-121 (determined yearly)}
iii. Merit Scholarship: $1,000 per year ($500 per semester) {index score of 105-113 (determined yearly)}
iv. Opportunity Scholarship: $500 per year ($250 per semester) {index score of 99-104 (determined yearly)}
For Non-Utah residents
i. Mt Ogden Scholarship: $9,000 ($4,500 per semester) {index score of 115 or higher
ii. Golden Spike Scholarship: $8,000 per year ($4,000 per semester) {index score of 105-114 (determined yearly)}
iii. Waterfall Canyon Scholarship: $7,500 per year ($3,750 per semester) {index score of 90-104 (determined yearly)}
Students who live on campus can get an additional $1,000 housing tuition discount ($500 per semester) which is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Renewal Criteria
Recipients are to maintain full-time status (12 credits) and a 2.5 WSU cumulative GPA
