Scholarship Summary:
All applicants (domestic and international) admitted to Austin College will be holistically reviewed and considered for all of the general academic scholarships including test-optional applicants. No additional scholarship application is required for consideration for a general academic scholarship. Once awarded, merit scholarships renew for four years as long as students continue at full-time status in good standing.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for scholarship consideration, applicants must;
i. Have a minimum *recalculated HS GPA of 3.26
* Austin College uses a recalculated, weighted academic GPA (not the GPA posted on a student’s transcript). The recalculated GPA includes courses in English, Math, Social Sciences, Science, Languages, and Fine Arts. Weight is added for coursework taken through AP, IB, or Dual Credit programs.
Value of Scholarship:
The Austin College Freshman Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. 3.26 – 3.46 GPA: $27,000
ii. 3.47 – 3.64 GPA: $28,000
iii. 3.65 – 3.79 GPA: $30,000
iv. 3.80 – 3.94 GPA: $31,000
v. 3.95+ GPA: $32,000
Scholarships are renewable for up to four years, as long as students remain enrolled full-time in good standing.
Scholarship Application Guide:
There is no separate scholarship application as your admission application will be assessed for your eligibility for a scholarship. Merit scholarship notifications are delivered to you at the time of your admission notification, and can be found by visiting the Student Hub.
