Scholarship Summary:
The Championship scholarship helps acknowledge the academic excellence of incoming freshmen students (domestic and international) into DSU. Champion Scholarships are awarded at different levels and these scholarship levels are dependent upon an individual’s high school GPA and standardized test scores. If the student continues to meet this high academic standard, these awards can be renewed annually for up to four years.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for the Championship scholarship consideration, you must;
• Be an incoming first-time freshman.
• Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.0
• Obtain a minimum test score of 21 ACT or 1060 SAT
Value of Scholarship:
The DSU Championship Scholarships are valued as follows;
1) DSU Presidential Champion at $20,000 ($5,000 per year) {ACT score of 32-36, or an SAT score of 1420 or higher AND minimum 3.0 unweighted cumulative high school GPA}
2) DSU Elite Champion at $14,000 ($3,500 per year) {ACT score of 28-31, or an SAT score of 1300-1410 AND minimum 3.0 unweighted cumulative high school GPA}
3) DSU Merit Champion at $10,000 ($2,500 per year) {ACT score of 24-27, or an SAT score of 1160-1290 AND minimum 3.0 unweighted cumulative high school GPA}
4) DSU Achievement Champion at $6,000 ($1500 per year) {ACT score of 21-23, or an SAT score of 1060-1150, or no college entrance exam score submitted AND minimum 4.0 unweighted cumulative high school GPA}
5) DSU Achievement Champion at $4,000 ($1000 per year) {ACT score of 21-23 or an SAT score of 1060-1150, or no college entrance exam score submitted AND minimum 3.5-3.99 unweighted cumulative high school GPA}
6) DSU Achievement Champion at $3,000 ($750 per year) {ACT score of 21-23, or an SAT score of 1060-1150 AND minimum 3.0-3.49 unweighted cumulative high school GPA}
