Scholarship Summary: 
The University of Lynchburg offers a wide range of scholarships and awards to incoming freshmen (US citizens and permanent residents). All full-time admitted students are automatically considered for academic scholarships to the University of Lynchburg — no separate scholarship application is required.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible to apply, you must:
Be a US citizen or permanent resident
Be admitted for undergraduate study

Value of Scholarship: 
The University of Lynchburg Freshman Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Hopwood Scholarship: $22,000/year (3.93/4.0 GPA or graduate as valedictorian or salutatorian)
ii. Founder’s Scholarship: $21,000/year (3.48/4.0 GPA)
iii. Trustee Scholarship: $20,000/year (3.07/4.0 GPA)
iv. Presidential Scholarship: $18,000/year (2.75/4.0 GPA)
v. Achievement Award: $16,000/year (Below 2.75 GPA)

Weighted GPA is used to determine scholarship eligibility.
