Scholarship Summary:
Northern awards graduate assistantships each year to incoming graduate students (domestic and international). If you are accepted for an assistantship, you'll be supervised by Northern faculty or staff. Supervisors serve as mentors, responsible for providing training and guidance to help you successfully fulfill your assigned responsibilities.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for a graduate assistantship at Northern, you must;
• Meet the academic requirements for admission to graduate studies and to a degree program
• Be enrolled in a minimum of six graduate credits each semester to be eligible for an assistantship position; graduate assistants may enroll in no more than 12 credits each semester. Once admitted, students are required to maintain good academic standing with a 3.00 GPA
Value of Scholarship:
Selected graduates will have a portion of their tuition costs covered by the assistantship
