Scholarship Summary:
A range of academic scholarships, awarded based on high school academic performance, are available at Texas Lutheran University and all accepted undergraduate students (domestic and international) at TLU will be considered for an academic scholarship.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for scholarship consideration, applicants must;
i. Be admitted for undergraduate studies at TLU
Value of Scholarship:
The Texas Lutheran University Freshman Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Presidential: $25,000/yr (4.0 and above Core Academic GPA*)
ii. Academic Excellence I: $22,000/yr (3.70 – 3.99 Core Academic GPA*)
iii. Heritage: $20,000/yr (3.69 and below Core Academic GPA*)
NOTE: Core academic GPA includes your grades in academic courses such as English, math, science, social studies, and foreign language.
Other Available Awards
- The SAT/ACT award of $1,000-$3,000 is in addition to your Academic Scholarship (Heritage, Academic Excellence, or Presidential). Test scores must be received by June 1 to be eligible for a SAT/ACT award.
- $3,000 (1400+ SAT or 31+ ACT)
- $2,000 (1300+ SAT or 28+ ACT)
- $1,000 (1100+ SAT or 22+ ACT)
