Scholarship Summary:
Scholarships with a variety of eligibility requirements are available through the each of the eight Academic Schools in Wayland Baptist University for domestic freshmen students. Awards are made on the basis of student eligibility, financial need, and the availability of funding according to earnings on endowed investments restricted by donors and designated gifts to the university.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Be admitted for undergraduate study at WBU
ii. Demonstrate significant financial need
iii. Be US citizens or permanent residents
All students who have been awarded an scholarship(s) through an Academic School are required to maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 (or 1.85 for students who have completed fewer than 30 credit hours) and remain full-time unless scholarship criteria states otherwise.
Value of Scholarship:
The WBU Academic School Scholarships vary in amount. School scholarships are generally renewed from year to year but are subject to availability of funding.
Combination of all scholarships will be held to tuition costs with the exception of contractual agreement (e.g. athletics) or where the awarding entity (department or donor) specifies that an endowed scholarship may exceed tuition.
