Scholarship Summary: 
Old Dominion University offers a renewable (up to four years) undergraduate merit scholarship to first-year international applicants. 

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
The eligibility criteria for international scholarship consideration include;
Cumulative, U.S. equivalent 3.25 grade point average (GPA)
Newly admitted (never previously enrolled at ODU)
Pursue an initial Bachelor's degree
Valid non-immigrant visa status

Value of Scholarship: 
The Old Dominion University International Student Scholarship is valued up to $16,000 USD annually for qualified applicants.

Renewal Criteria
  • Full-time enrollment (at least 12 credit hours for both the Fall and Spring terms)
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.25

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply; 
i. Complete an application for admission into Old Dominion.
ii. Submit a one (1) page essay indicating academic intent and personal goals; this is available in the admission application.
iii. Submission of TOEFL & SAT results are optional, though highly recommended.
