Scholarship Summary: 
Southeastern provides an out-of-state fee waiver scholarship for new non-resident domestic and international freshmen and undergraduate transfer applicants who meet System-defined criteria.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible for an out-of-state fee waiver scholarship, you must have the following credentials;

1. Nonresident Domestic Students

First-time freshman (less than 18 transferable credit hours completed) shall have an ACT composite score of 21 (or an equivalent SAT score) and a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.25 or higher. Such students must also have no need for developmental courses. Students with transfer credit must have a 2.0 cumulative transferrable grade point average on all college-level work.
Transfer students (at least 18 transferable credit hours completed) shall have at least a 2.5 transferrable cumulative grade point average on college-level course work and no remaining developmental course requirements. Students must be eligible to return to their previous institution.

2. International Students

First-Time Freshmen (less than 18 credits of college level work completed in the U.S.):
1. Minimum TOEFL score of 525 paper, 195 computer, or 75 ibt. (Minimum IELTS of 6.0 or Duolingo 100), and
2. Have completed a recognized secondary program comparable to U.S. high
school graduation with accumulative high school GPA of 2.25 or higher, and
3. Have no need for developmental course work 

Transfer Students (have completed 18 or more credits of course work in the U.S.):
1. Cumulative GPA of 2.5 on college level work, and
2. Have no need for developmental course work, and
3. Be eligible to return to their previous institution, and
4. A minimum TOEFL score of 525 paper, 195 computer, or 75 IBT

Value of Scholarship: 
Out of state tuition fees range from $1,412 for students registered for four credit hours to $6,238 for full-time students taking twelve or more hours. These fees are paid in addition to the university's regular tuition and will be covered by the out-of-state waiver. 

Scholarship Application Guide: 
The Southeastern application for admission serves as the application for all New Freshman Scholarships, no separate scholarship application is needed. Students should apply for admission by the priority deadlines indicated to be eligible for Southeastern's best scholarships. 

Students who receive the scholarship will remain eligible for renewal as long as they maintain status as a full-time student, remain in “GOOD” academic standing, and maintain satisfactory academic progress.
