Scholarship Summary:
The VSU Presidential STEM Scholarship available to select incoming domestic Presidential scholars majoring in one of the STEM disciplines listed below. Students will be selected and awarded based on their academic transcript and standardized test scores. This is a highly competitive award, presented to a limited number of students each year, according to the availability of funds.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be considered for the Presidential STEM scholarship at VSU, applicants must:
i. Be admitted for an eligible STEM course
ii. Have a 3.2/4.0 GPA 1170 SAT / 24 ACT. Without test scores, students must have a minimum 3.75 GPA and one (1) of the following criteria: ranked in top 15% of class; completed three (3) AP/IB/DE courses with a grade of "B" or better; designated as Valedictorian or Salutatorian.
Eligible courses include;
Biology, Chemistry, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering Technology, Information Logistics Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering Technology.
