Scholarship Summary: 
Graduate Diversity Fellow Program is designed to direct aid to US graduate students who have demonstrated academic achievement and overcome a disadvantage or other impediment to success in higher education. 

Candidates will contribute to the diversity of the student body by demonstrating their commitment to facilitating and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion effects in their academic programs and activities. GDFs are employed in various departments across campus that contribute to SUNY Brockport’s EDI Strategic Plan. 

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Be US citizens or permanent residents, 
ii. Demonstrate the capacity to contribute to the diversity of the College’s student body and experience. 
iii. Demonstrate they have overcome an impediment to success in higher education.

Value of Scholarship: 
The Brockport Graduate Diversity Fellowship offers the following benefits;
1. Tuition: Nine credits of graduate tuition scholarship per semester (degree applicable coursework).
2. Living stipend: $4,500.00 per semester

ii. When filling out your graduate program application, check the box indicating that you are interested in being a GDF.
iii. Log into your graduate application status portal and complete the GDF application on the righthand side.
