Nichols academically-based merit scholarships are awarded to qualified, full-time, incoming freshmen (domestic and international) who displayed academic excellence in high school. Amounts awarded are determined by a combination of factors including but not limited to SAT scores, cumulative GPA, and extracurricular activities. Merit scholarships are fully renewable as long as students maintain satisfactory academic progress while studying at Nichols.

Scholarship Summary: 

The UMassD First-Year Doctoral Fellowship is awarded to academically strong graduate applicants (domestic and international) with the potential to succeed at UMassD and beyond. The goal for this award is for the fellows to have one year to focus on course work while they seek out a research advisor who can support their remaining studies.

Scholarship Summary: 

The Provost's Graduate Fellowship is offered to high achieving newly admitted master's students with a residency status of international, out-of-state or regional. While UMass Lowell's tuition and fees are competitive with other top graduate schools, the purpose of this award is to make UML excellent master's programs even more affordable. Graduate applicants are encouraged to apply early to increase their chances of receiving a fellowship.

Merit scholarships based on high school academic achievement are awarded to full-time freshmen (domestic and international). Awards are based on test scores (SAT or ACT) and a recalculated Grade Point Average (GPA). This GPA is calculated by the Admissions Office at the time of acceptance and is based on traditional, college-prep courses.

Scholarship Summary: 

New undergraduate students (domestic and international) are initially considered for an academic/merit scholarship when they are evaluated for admission into Springfield College. Academic scholarships are solely for tuition, for a maximum of eight full-time semesters, and only for undergraduate degrees in full-time student status.

Scholarship Summary: 
The Sandra and Jack Pine Honors College offers several scholarship opportunities to academically talented domestic and international students. Each of these scholarships are automatically renewable as long as the recipient maintains full-time consecutive enrollment in both fall and spring semesters, maintain good standing with the university, and specific GPA requirements.
